Infinity 367 Dedication – Barrington, IL
St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Barrington, IL invites you to join us on Sunday April 14th at 4:00 PM for a glorious concert of organ music, hymn singing, and special choir music. This concert is offered to celebrate and give thanks for our new Rodgers Infinity 367 organ (the first of this new model in Illinois) and this tremendous blessing to St. Matthew.
We are honored to have Paul Soulek as our guest organist. Paul is Cantor and Director of Music at St. John Lutheran Church and School in Seward NE. He is also on the adjunct faculty in the Music Department at Concordia University Nebraska, where he directs the Male Chorus and teaches courses in arranging, church music ,and applied organ. Additionally, he is a gifted arranger and composer. Paul will showcase our new state of the art 3-manual organ that has over 440 diverse sounds and 67 stops.
Concert-goers will hear selections from Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Bach and Manz, among others. Be inspired and uplifted by the majestic music of this king of instruments and join us as we dedicate the organ to the praise and glory of God.
A food and drink reception will follow and childcare will be provided.
