Effective January 15, the Roland Corporation agreed to the VandeWeerd family’s acquisition of the American company, Rodgers Instruments. The VandeWeerd family has achieved worldwide success for decades with three prominent organ brands. The acquisition of Rodgers will bring together the best of all worlds.

This situation is similar to General Motors which owns several different automotive “brands,” namely Cadillac, GMC, Chevrolet, etc.  However, Rodgers will now be part of a “family” business and not part of a large multi-national corporation.  No one in their right mind would think that Chevrolet designs and builds Cadillac products, and no one should think that Rodgers will just be a off-shoot of the other brands owned by this family.  They have made it clear that each company will continue to be a strong and independent brand.  Read carefully the following press releases regarding the plans for our beloved Rodgers Brand.
