For the opening concerts of the 2022-2023 Season, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra used a Rodgers 3-manual Concert organ for its performance of Strauss’ Alpine Symphony.  This work required such a large number of musicians, that the organ console needed to be placed offstage where David Jonies (organist of Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago) watched the conductor with a TV monitor.  The 26 speakers used for the program were placed in the chamber openings high above the stage and behind the grey curtains you see in the photo.

  • Rodgers Organs will return several times this season to play a part in the following programs:
  • Mendelssohn’s Elijah (week of March 20, 2023)
  • Holst – The Planets (week of May 22nd, 2023)
  • Mahler Symphony No 2 (week of June 12, 2023)
